My dd Made Urso...

This is 100% made by my dd 18. The only thing not crafted by her is his eyeballs and nose. The bear itself she used a pattern but the clothes she designed the patterns. He is also jointed with screws...
She will be entering him in the State Fair. He is designed to be Urso Brunov by Brian Jacques.

Amazing the difference a sheet can make...

I love the way it looks with the bumpers (on either side)  and am now going to make all the sheets the same. :)

Little Girl Dress

I made my first outfit from my bargain vintage patterns I bought in the spring. (The 2 boxes for $5.00)

I'm guessing it's a 70's style. My mom  could have even made me this very dress. :)

New Curtains for my room

I just discovered the local upholstery store in my town is now selling off end bolts for $1, $5 and $10 a BOLT! So I was able to make new curtains for my room for $2.00. And it was high end fabric!!! :)

Now I just need to get rid of that pucky sea foam green trim. LOL

I am so Excited!!!

My mom gave me a big box of chenille bedspreads. (aka old antique) in it. (2 were parts and 1 whole) There was a white one with blue designs and flowers, a solid pale yellow with line and dot designs, and solid pink. The pink one was 100% complete and in good condition so I gave it to dd 7 for a summer quilt. but I took the other 2 and recovered my crib bumper. One side has yellow and the other has the flowers and blue swirls so it's reversible.. Then I took the leftovers and made a quilt to match! Also reversible. They came out much better than I expected.
