5/24/2006- Coca-Cola and Cadbury Schweppes have joined the list of beverage firms set to be sued in Florida over allegations their drinks contained benzene, 15 years after the industry first pledged to fix the problem.

What exactly can Benzene do???

Benzene exposure has serious health effects. Breathing high levels of benzene can result in death, while low levels can cause drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heart rate, headaches, tremors, confusion, and unconsciousness. Eating or drinking foods containing high levels of benzene can cause vomiting, irritation of the stomach, dizziness, sleepiness, convulsions, rapid heart rate, and death.

The major effect of benzene from chronic (long-term) exposure is to the blood. Benzene damages the bone marrow and can cause a decrease in red blood cells, leading to anemia. It can also cause excessive bleeding and depress the immune system, increasing the chance of infection.

Perfect Pregnancy Workout Review

The Perfect Pregnanacy Workout

What type of workout is this? Weightlifting, Strength training. It shows beginner, intermediate and advanced for all exercises that can be modified.

Who is the instructor? Her name is Kayrn Steben . She is a acrobat for a Cirque du Soleil company.

What you like about it? I love that this is a challenging workout! She covers your legs really well, My legs sould be totally tone when this baby comes! baby And she covers your arms equally as well. I love that she shows you beginner and advanced of the exercises. I am stronger in my arms then my legs, so I can do the advanced in what I am strong in and the beginner in my weak areas! thumbs up I also love that she incorporates Kegals in the workout. Which is so important but hard at times to remember to do. I think this is a wonderful workout! Sould continue to be a challenge through the whole pregnancy. And she shows you how to still do sit ups, without being flat on your back!

What you don't like about it? At the beginning there is a intro that is very unmodest but you can't just click past it. You can fast forward it though. She isn't modest and doesn't have a speck of fat on her anywhere! roflol But I think that comes from being an acrobat. I can't think of anything I don't like about the actual workout.

Modesty Factor- She is not modest at all. It's just one girl. And she wears a bra type shirt and exercise shorts. I have the guys leave the room and do other things during it. I feel the workout is so great it's worth doing dispite the unmodest clothing.

What type of music is played? Pretty non-discript. You can hear a sample at the link provided. During the warm up and cool down it is calming and during the rest it is upbeat.

Where did you find this dvd/video? How long ago? Was it worth the price paid?
I bought it from amazon for $25.00. August 2006, Yes definetely. I would probalby buy it from there site directly (for $19.99) but had other purchases at amazon and got free shipping.

Put your Fork Down between Bites and Divide your Plate



It slows down the rate of eating. This can help make you fully aware of what you're putting in your mouth.


Divide your plate into quarters and fill half with vegetables, salads, and fruit, a quarter with lean protein, and a quarter with a starchy vegetable. This will help ensure you eat enough to feel full and satisified without stuffing yourself with unnecessary calories.

Use a smaller plate. You will still feel satified but eat a smaller portion of food.

My new Exercise Goals

This is what I want to happen in an ideal week!!!

I really enjoyed the pilates and perfect pregnancy DVD's and would like to make them happen 2 times a week each. So this plan makes it so I only do them on weekdays when it's easier to get in a 45 minute workout.


Monday- Pilates
Tuesday- Perfect Pregnancy
Wednesday- Nordic Track
Thursday- Pilates
Friday- Perfect Pregancy
Saturday- Nordic Track
Sunday- Day of Rest

Drink your water and Start with Salad

No, water won't fill you up but it can help you burn calories faster. A study in Germany found that drinking 500 milliliters of warm water caused people's metabolic rates to increase by 30 percent. The study suggests that drinking two liters of water a day could cause you to burn an additional 100 calories.



Have a Salad First
Eating a low-calorie salad as a first course enhances satiety and reduces calorie intake by up to 12 percent during the rest of the meal.


Create a Calorie Deficit

The key is to burn more calorids through exercise and to knock calories out of your diet. "Eating just 200 fewer calories per day could add up to losing 20 pounds in a year.

Spread out your calories intake during the day
It's harder for your body to utilize excess calories that are consumed at one time. So instead of consuming the bulk of your calories at dinner, which is what many people do, it's better to allot 500 each for breakfast, lunch and dinner and to include two 150 calorie snacks- and burn them off throughout the day.

I had wanted something new to do for exercising while I am pregnant and am happy to say finally after being on backorder I have recieved them. Can't wait to get the AC fixed and try these out! They are supposed to actually be challenging!
